OVERLAY SERIES.......
Writing layer by layer, is a means by which histories are inscribed.
Time and memory are overlaid within the earth’s history.
Geological strata, hidden or revealed, have their own aesthetic.
By using the natural resources of lime wash and pigments, mud or watercolours, my work echoes the way we read geological data, and the geological process resonates with my interest in Time and Memory.
Having visited the Pembrokeshire coastline many times, it has become my main source of inspiration for the OVERLAY SERIES. This body of work is an ongoing development
